Problem Statement
Many users lose interest in quit-smoking apps due to a lack of motivation and support. The goal was to create an engaging, supportive app that keeps users motivated and helps them stay on track to quit smoking
Solutions
Conduct competitor research to analyze key features of existing quit-smoking apps and identify user engagement patterns. Use the insights to define opportunities for differentiation and design unique features that make the app stand out in the market

What I Learned from UX Research
Visible Progress
Users value seeing the positive effects of not smoking to stay motivated
Personalized Support
Users want personalized support through an interactive dialogue with feedback options
User Flow
By mapping the user flow, I ensured intuitive navigation and a seamless product experience
Wireframes
Beginning with hand sketches, I translated my ideas onto paper
Creating low-fidelity wireframes made it easier to align with the client on product functionality and layout before moving into detailed design
Сolor palette
The color palette combines deep navy and neutral grays with soft light tones to create a calm, balanced, and supportive atmosphere

Onboarding
The onboarding flow helps personalize the quitting journey by collecting key data such as smoking habits, fears, and motivation.
This allows the app to adapt content, show personalized progress, and create an empathetic, motivating experience for each user
Main Screens
I designed the main screen to keep users motivated and emotionally supported throughout their quitting journey
A real-time timer reinforces progress and control
A mood tracker visualizes emotional changes
A quick-access button offers support during cravings
Tracker
I added key metrics that translate progress into tangible results: money saved, cigarettes avoided, life regained, and time earned
Achievements
The Achievements section motivates users by showing progress in finance, health, and self-control, turning quitting into a gamified and rewarding experience
Users see a timeline of milestones, showing how their actions translate into real results
Button add a sense of reward and accomplishment
Well-being diary
Users record their mood allowing the app to create a personalized AI-based support plan that responds to their current emotional state
Track your mood with one tap
Share your craving level to get the right support
Based on the responses, the system creates a personalized support plan
Help Chat
Based on the developed support plan, the Assistant offers the user specific, simple actions to cope with emotional difficulties through gentle and personalized interaction
App Store Screenshots
I designed the App Store screenshots to clearly showcase the app’s key features and user experience at a glance. This helps attract potential users by quickly communicating the app’s value and encouraging downloads
What comes next
The MVP of the mobile app is currently in development. Once completed, it will be tested with users to gather real-world feedback on usability and effectiveness.
Based on the results, issues will be fixed, the experience improved, and new features added, including Challenges and Statistics.
